So...My little guy is "sleeping through the night" now... But I have to wake up @ 3:30am to pump 6 oz after 4.5 hours of sleep?!... And then can't get back to sleep and am tired throughout the day. 🙄 How do I breastfeed and still get to sleep the 6-9 hours like my little guy?... Is that just not an option if I'm breastfeeding? I pumped 4 oz at 4:30pm... And then breastfed 7pm-10pm... Dumb question... I know... Maybe pump right before bed?
@vamommy89, I sleep in the same room as my little man... But a different room than his Dad because I don't want to wake him on work days... And... He likes to fall asleep with the TV... I do not... And it also overstimulates baby. 😩 Sometimes I go in after the TV sleep timer goes off. Our Sleeping situation is all over the place! Lol
@mermaidmeshy, pumping bras?!!! 😮🤗❤️ What kind do you use?!!!... I need to get one!!!!
My son slept for 5-6 hours at a time as a newborn. You're not supposed to let your milk sit for longer than 3 hours or it will decrease. Mine never did but i produced a crap ton of milk 24/7. But if i woke up in pain and engorged I'd pump. Otherwise i slept until he woke up.
Just sleep! Keep a cup or towel near your bed, If you wake up uncomfortable then hand express into something until its better. Your supply will be fine and it will regulate with whatever hes doing. I remember those 4hr sleep days 😂 now its worse ✌
Lucky you! I'm also up every 3 hours to pump. But mine isn't sleeping through the night. I'm lucky that my husband will help, but when he's back to work I plan to at least try and let him get longer stretches of sleep.
I find that if I really need it, I'll go as long as 4 hours without pumping. But any longer for me and my boobs start to hurt.
I'm currently feeding my daughter while pumping. And typing this... pumping bras are so helpful in this situation.
