So my daughter is 2 months and is already drinking 6 ounces. She is just hungry. I know she is hungry by the cry. But today I got scolded by another mom. What happens if shes eating that much already? Could something happen to her?
Depends on if she's breast or bottle fed but generally there's a guideline on how big their stomachs are at different ages. My breastfed baby ate 3-4 oz at that age and still does at 6 months. He'll never need more than that. However when bottle fed you have to pace them and burp often. As adults, when you eat too fast you don't feel full until later when you've already had too much. So essentially you're stretching their stomachs. Formula babies are different though I think they drink more
My son was on 4oz at 2 months old. He's 7 months old now and on 8oz. He's been on 8oz since he was 5ish-6 months. If she's hungry feed her she'll spit up if she eats to much and there's no harm in that 🤗
Feed her what she wants. Girl my son was drinking 6 oz at that age. He a big eater. Still is to this day 😂😂
My daughter was always a big eater. My doctor said, "feed her as much as she wants - if she gets too much then she'll spit it up. No big deal."
My chunky baby was eating about that much. Worse than can happen is she spits up from being over fed. But she may be growing, so i say if she is hungry, then feed her
Also mine had reflux so he always seemed to want more but he was trying to soothe his throat and reflux. Terrible cycle reflux is
