@winterbaby95, I feel the same way. We do not live with them, but they've been paying rent for us. We are now to the point that we can pay it on our own and she's upset because she wanted us to move down there.

@keepingupwithhj Oh yeah...I am dependent on my mum too...she is the one paying the bills to keep a roof over my head and the food...but i do make some contribution...apparently because i live under her roof...i have to abide by what she says...she needs to get out of that bubble of hers...it cant work like that...i am a mother...I am not a 2 year old child....i am 22 and can think for myself...I dont need to be told what i can and cant do...if i make mistakes then so be it...no ones perfect...but i am sick of being made to feel shit for the things i apparently do wrong...and theres like zero acknowlegement of all the other things i do? X

@winterbaby95, I get that. I just feel like I can't say anything because we have been financially dependent on my parents for about 2 years now... we're just to the point that we're able to be on our own.

@lauramichele oh my mum has done that...says sorry and all that shit...and carries on with the same shit....Doesnt know when to quit...im at the end of it...thankfully the council are trying to find me a place...cant wait to shake her off... Constantly being compared to her...other mothers...cant deal with her shit much longer....Sick of her telling me...other people are better with my child than me....Xx

@keepingupwithhj Much better now. @winterbaby95 I unfortunately live with my mom too. Was living in an apartment but moved back, now looking for a house. I made her sit down and gave a loooong speech. Had her crying and she tried pulling the victim card, but I didn't relent. Kept on until she stormed off to her room like an angry teenager. But that was the end of it.

@lauramichele Literally tell her to fuck off...but she doesnt listen...and I still live with her so theres a lot of problems between us...Like @lauramichele said...Im not raising my girl the way she wants me to...not living my life like she wants to...right now i dont even feel like I am living...because she controls everything...what i eat...what i do...where i go...what i say...how i dress...list goes on x

My mom gave me such grief. I wasn't living the way she expected me to, I wasn't raising my kid how she wanted - the list goes on. Being respectful wasn't doing a thing. I had to put my foot down and tell her off. She hated it, but she never once gave me grief again.

@winterbaby95, how do you be respectful while telling her to back off?
