Have any moms started their breast fed babies on cows milk a couple weeks before their first birthday? I want to gradually introduce it but I know you're suppose to wait to a year old.
And breast milk to cows milk will be a very drastic change in diet even introduced in small amounts.
When it comes to introducing new things like food or milk you should wait for the okay from your pediatrician. Cows milk proteins are very harsh on babies bellys. If your pediatrician is saying no, then it's probably for a good reason.
@dreamermom, that's what I wanted to do but my pediatrician said no. I don't see any harm though. Thank you! :)
My pediatrician actually recommended doing it slowly starting at 11 months and tapering off the formula... so I think you'd be fine!
Short Luteal Phase?
I've just started temping because I believe that the reason I haven't had a BFP yet, after 20 months, is because I believe I may have a Luteal Phase Defect.
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
@melissasfambam, my daughter had a milk allergy, so she's just now able to drink cows milk without getting super bad rashes! We ended up not getting her off formula until almost 16 months, and then we transitioned her to almond milk, instead of cows milk!
