Ok so my son's middle name is after my husband's grandfather who raised him and passed away when my husband was very young... And for our 2nd son , I want his middle name to be after MY grandfather , (he didn't raise me) but he also passed away when I was about 5 and I think that it would be fair ?
But noooooooo, just cause he doesnt like the name , he doesnt want to do that , he'd rather pick another one 😑 so frustrated

@memata24 wow that is crazy, my dad's name is John and my little brothers name is Alexander , both after my grandfather. Which Is why I wanted to name my 2nd son Lucas Jay. (Jay was the nickname for John)

I think family names are important and if his grandfathers name is part of your sons then you should be able to put your grandfathers name for your second son. My daughters name is after my family so our next child will be after his
