So rant.. I'm been staying staying with my aunt cause she has a really nice built on apartment from her house and I've been looking for an apartment that does accept cats and I didn't realize how expensive apartments got with hardly any utilities included and no pets..I have two cats that are staying with my friend until I find a place and my mom keeps telling me to get rid of them and how it limits my options for a place.. yes a lot of people don't take care of there pets so it ruins it for people who do care for them like myself..I'm not getting rid of them and she needs to understand that..they were my first babies and Violet adores them. Ugh I'm so stressed plus my face is breaking out horribly which is stressing me out even more!! 🙈🙈I keep praying god will help me find a place but I'm getting so impatient. I really think this is a test of faith

@nomaci, yes same here like some apartments that allow pets have an expensive security deposit plus an additional monthly fee per pet.. ugh 😑 then having the city move out towards country building more modern business which is making the towns pricey to live and my broke ass is gunna live in a box soon

@dazzlingmommy, thank you 🙌🏻 and me personally I'm not a fan of pit bulls I'm more of a German Shepard lover but I hate hearing all that shit about pitbulls being bad dogs and I saw some listings that exclude them..I'm like are you kidding me? it's not them it's the people who raise them that make ANY dog bad not the pitbull breed itself. Ugh people piss me off, maybe that's why I loves animals and my baby more than people.. lol

Where we live, pets are allowed but it's an additional $375 upfront, plus $50-75 a month added to your rent, which is already high. And certain breeds of dogs aren't allowed, like pitbulls, which stinks. It's frustrating that having pets hurts so much for apartment hunting.

I have the exact same problem every time it's time to move! I have a pit bull who is the friendliest dog ever but no landlord will accept her. I've had quite a few people tell me to give her away too because of it which pisses me off. I've had her since she was 6 months old and she's 6 years old now. That's my fur baby!!! Either way, it doesn't matter how old the pet is- you made the commitment to take them in and raise them until it's their time to go. People are selfish when they get pets, keep them for a few years then get rid of them! That's so selfish!! These animals get close to you, love you and become loyal to you and you're just going to give them to someone else to start their life all over again??

People get me so mad! And like you said, they ruin it for all the GOOD animal owners!

And on top of that- my dog is 6 years old and she's a pit bull at that. If I give her away I know for a fact she will end up in a shelter and I'll be damned if another innocent pit bull ends up in a shelter for no good reason!
