Has anyone gone through phototherapy for their baby's jaundice? How long did it take and did they have to put in an IV or anything? Or is it just the light?

@kambam, doctor told us formula. So we're using both formula and breast milk

@kambam, It was a 15.5 yesterday and today it was 14.2 🙏🏻❤
My little one is under the uv light and they told me the iv is put in because it can dry them out so it's like them getting constant liquids esp if they're not feeding good
I did my daughter had the light above and beneath her. They also gave her an iv to flush the billy Rubin out. She was under the light for 16 hrs and then I had to continue to get her blood tested for a week after!
How bad is the jaundice? You can sometimes take a blanket home if its that bad. I dont think they iv but probably foot monitor or something.
Why did doc tell you formula? Sorry. Are you going to breastfeed?
