Alright Mamas I need opinions. Last time my little guy got his vaccines at 2 months old he spiked a 102.5 temp and we had to take him to the ER (this was before office hours). Noah went for his 4 month appointment yesterday. When they did his temp (rectally) it was 100. Which they don't consider a fever, okay cool. They gave him his vaccines, and then today his SUPER clingy & fussy which I did expect cause duh he doesn't feel good. But I checked his temp (rectally) this was @ 11:44am and it said 100.4 so I went in there and gave him Tylenol. I just checked his temp again (rectally) about an hour and ten minutes after Tylenol was given and it was 100.5 which I know is only like a tenth of a degree difference. But nothing is making the whining and whimpering and crying stop. He also spit up some red stuff (I believe it's Tylenol) an hour or so after Tylenol was administered. Which he has never done. The doctor told me yesterday to add 2oz of prune juice to 2oz of sterile water for his bottles because he has been having gummy thick stools. My purpose for telling y'all all this is that idk if whatever is going is just vaccine related and I need to chill or if it could be a stomach thing and I need to call the doc?
I hate saying this because I hate being "that girl" but I am a pediatric nurse and I get this phone call about 5-6 times a day. It most likely is the vaccines. Both the DTaP and the Prevnar vaccines are known to cause a low grade fever. You are doing exactly everything we would recommend so please don't worry. Like someone else said you can ask to separate them (some doctors will make you sign a paper for delaying vaccines) but then you are also spreading out that moment of shock when he gets a shot as opposed to all in one day. I'm not sure of
Georgia's vaccine sched but I have been a nurse in pa, nj, oh, and fl and at the 6 month he will be getting all the same vaccines as he got at the 4 month so you may want to ask if you can separate them and have the rest given at the 9 month since he will only be getting one at that appt.
Yeah I think he got like 4 total vaccines yesterday
I know my doctor does delayed vaccines and only one per visit. See if that is an option for you... It might be easier on him, some babies are more sensitive, especially boys! Boys have more reactions and long term side effects than girls.
I think it's just vaccines. The tummy issue is a seperate thing that just may make him feel bad on top of the vaccines. Low grade fevers can be expected with vaccines along with general irritability. If the fever spikes above normal and doesn't come down then def take him to doc.
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
Science!
My friend posted this on facebook last night and said her kids were asleep within minutes. It's a song that scientists created to help people fall asleep. I was skeptical but I thought what the hay, I'll try it out. I didn't bank on Dh falling asleep, but both him and lo were asleep by minute 2. And lo slept six straight hours. ?

My husband and I aren’t exactly strangers when it comes to relationship challenges 💞. We have been together for 14 years and married for eight, so we’ve definitely gone through some growing pains as we navigated a long-distance relationship in college and our first year living together as a married 👫 couple.
But nothing has challenged our relationship quite like our first year as 👪 parents .
Before you have your first child, you have these grand ideas of what it will be like. There’s more slee...
I'm in FL and my doctor doesn't do any vaccines until the age of one when the child has an established immune system strong enough for vaccines... Just an alternate option... Delaying doesn't mean antivax 😉 just means a slower gentler approach easier on baby 😘 I hope this helps you
