When did you start your baby on milk? my son was going thou a can a day of formula so his doctor told me it's was okay to switch he's 10 months

Formula contains the nutrients babies need until a year. Not all doctors follow the AAP guidelines, which is why more and more people aren't trusting doctors.

I gave my son milk here & there as a drink while he ate a snack the last couple months before he turned 1

We started switching a few days before he turned one. Our doctor told us to wait until then. He still gets formula once a day, though, to make sure he gets all his nutrients.

@jasholbert, I sure don't! And @akm2396, I plan to breastfeed until baby's 2, but I'd only consider milk a little after a year. Just to make sure he gets as much nutrients as possible.
