‼️I want to know why people say that, "do not put your baby on their stomachs to sleep because it will cause sids!" ??? Babies sleeping on their stomachs DO NOT cause sids NOR does them sleeping on their sides!! Babies can get sids no matter how they sleep!! I was told by a lot of older people that said, "when my kids was little they recommend babies to sleep on their stomach to prevent them from choking on spit up." Isn't it MY child? It is ultimately MY choice and MY decision not yours!! It doesn't make me a bad parent at all!! ‼️
‼️(By the way I am NOT saying that Sophia sleeps on her stomach, side or back! It is really no ones business how she sleeps really! I am saying it because it kinda pisses me off! Their is really noway of stopping sids from happening!)‼️
@shellbell0391, well my friends baby does choke on spit up so. (Not being rude)
Also they don't choke on spit up even when laying flat on their back. Believe me I know from experience with my son lol 😒
There has been a lot of research that shows putting a baby to sleep on his back greatly reduces the risk of SIDS in newborns. The amount of cases declined a lot when they started the back to sleep stuff. When a baby can lift himself up to move around he's probably fine to sleep on his belly but that's why they say back to sleep.
Yeah sometimes people don't think it's a person they are supposed to move and you need sleep too you can't helicopter mom all the time
@mommysbabies, I normally don't but I just seen a post on Facebook that mentioned it and said they don't know how a mother could know about how to prevent sids and Could do it but don't and It just kinda rubbed me the wrong way.
Yeah at your babies age is when they start to sleep on their tummy anyway because they roll over if she isn't sleeping face down into the mattress she should be fine I'd only worry if she didn't move head to side just ignore them everyone always has something to say I even had expressed my concern of son rolling over at that age and sleeping on stomach and dr said nothing you can do to stop it
My baby uses a blanket but I check on her all night. Sometimes it's easier to just put her in warm clothes but she doesn't like to be too warm. So I let her sleep on a blanket. I don't know. I follow as much as I can but she needs to be comfortable
@luceromommy, @mommysbabies, i mean I tried to get my daughter to sleep on her back but she will not sleep, so I put her on her stomach and she moves her head around to find a comfy spot and she is out. I was so scared because of what everyone said put when I would talk to older people they would say that they was told to put them on their stomach to keep them from choking and I did have someone telling me that their friends baby died from sids and they went by the rules. So
I think they say it now because because babies don't know to put their face not in bed but eventually you can't prevent it and it is your child your choice just like they say no blankets and stuff like that till one and parents still do it just like they say don't co sleep people still do it I can't my mom told me to many bad stories about co sleeping that and I know I move a lot but what is right for my family isn't always going to be right for yous
I think you should follow your instincts as long as you're well educated and you have the instinct to do something with your child you should, you know what's best and what will work for you, I cosleep with my son even though "it's linked to SIDS", it's what works for us.
