I have not been able to stop the swaddle. I have done one arm out for two weeks. He sleeps fine. Any night I try both arms. He brings his hands to his face and knocks his binky out. Or scratches himself. And wakes up. Several times. Today he rolled back to front for the first time so I need to find a trick to get my sleep and sanity back. A friend lent me the Merlin sleep suit and he didn't like that he couldn't touch his face so I am SOL. I am slowly going crazy with no sleep. It makes me feel like such a bad mom when I'm sleep deprived and cranky and short on patience. I just want this phase passed 😕

Theres some mittens that are kind of tighter and aren't easy to take off
My son is the same way
He hates to be swaddled and he scratched himself so I used some mittens.
Also I found myself co sleeping he definitely started sleeping more with me than in his pack n play. Or give him a bath like at 7 or so then feed him .. it's tough girl I'm still at that phase 😪😪😪

@nomaci, I haven't tried the mittens because he gets them off during the day. Wasn't sure if that's a hazard at night. I have tried to see if he will gonna back asleep on his own. Sometimes he will. Sometimes he screams til I do something. I have a little hippo that plays music or nature sounds. Also a hit or miss. Anytime something works it seems to work for days then suddenly it doesn't. 😕
Can you still get those mittens to fit his hands, so he won't scratch? I can't think of anything for the binky. Also, when he wakes, have you tried to see if he can go back to sleep on his own? Maybe try a noise machine to help keep him from startling.
@viiviian.aiide, it is so tough. There are times he wakes up enough that I bring him to bed n he sleeps fine. But I really want to avoid the habit. I'll have to check mittens n fine tighter ones hoping that will help
