On Friday I was wrongfully incarcerated for an issue that was taken care of in January. Jail time served and bond payed. One of the booking officers was given the wrong information to give to me when I was released in January stating there was no further action needed on my part. I keep all my court documents. I had my husband bring in my recipt to the office and they released me Saturday at 2 with a short apology. I still had to eat horseshit food on their time, put in lockdown in a single person cell for the majority of my stay. Fucking 6 months pregnant trying to stay calm and not let myself go insane. This is all because some careless officer didnt do their job correctly. I walked home I had no money on me and everyone was at work. Although feeling the sunlight on your skin after that feels euphoric. My boss gave me extra shifts and hugged me because I decided to still go to work an hour after I got out. Also I understand this might be laughable to somone who has been in jail or prison for a longer period but this wasnt my doing.
