Nope, unfortunately I don't really have any close living family. I managed to get everything through clearance sales and couponing. Lol

@_sheriee you had family get stuff for you?

I don't think they are necessary. I never had one with my first and won't be having one for this one.

@ilovemychildren totally understandable! I don't have any money and unfortunately my hubby lost his job so we get unemployment for now but luckily I still have a crib, swing, walker, diapers, wipes, clothes, bath stuff, etc. So its not like I really need anything except more diapers and wipes cause babies run through them on top of the fact I'll have 2 in diapers.

@juliaschade41 exactly! Little stuff like mittens, socks, hats, burp cloths, etc not much at all.

@aprilhearts lol I had a baby shower last year too so I get it, and yeah I've heard that but its not up to society how many showers you have 😂

This is my 3rd child. I kind of feel embarrassed having another baby shower so soon, maybe if my daughter was older. But she'll be 1.6 yrs old, people are going to be like didn't you just have a baby shower last year..lol..plus some people think it's good to have a baby shower for the first child only.

@skyy12221 right exactly my point. I mean mostly you'll only need are diapers and wipes lol maybe a couple of binkies and burp cloths. Nothing too crazy.

It depends on how much you NEED. I feel like people who come from money don't need a baby shower because they shouldn't be asking people for gifts that they can afford. On the other hand, I don't have custody of my older kids, have no baby stuff left because it was all sold last year, and my new husband and I are expecting our first child together but we had nothing for the baby and neither of us makes much per month so we had a small shower with like maybe 20 people and got lots of much needed help.

@juliaschade41 lol I've heard of sprinkles as well but shoot once baby comes or before can't people just drop the stuff off? Haha I'm having another boy so I still have stuff that I kept from Silas and Justice. I really don't need anything lol

Like if you already have boys and are expecting another one, then what's the point? Same with girls. But if you have a boy and are expecting a girl or vice versa, that's understandable. But even then, you can reuse things that aren't the color pink or blue. Lol the baby isn't going to know the difference, and it saves on money.

No lol my mom says the same thing. She says after like the 2nd child, its ridiculous to have baby showers. Now mind you, she's older and this is her opinion lol but there is a point behind what she says.
