I challenge you guys to try this for a day:
Every time you comment on a post or give advice, or even hold a conversation in real life, try to keep the words "I", "me", and "my" out of your response.

I'm not saying this to be mean or anything, I just recently noticed I find myself changing topics to be about me or my life quite often when I try to talk to people, even if the original topic was about them. I found by switching things up and trying to keep the focus on the person who started the conversation, it's a lot more meaningful.

For one, people are way more open to advice if you give it straight and avoid the whole "I did this and it worked for me and my child, etc."
You learn so much more about people you know when you're not trying to tell them all about yourself all day.
The conversation lasts a lot longer when you let them get their whole story out before you jump in with your own.

If you're like me and tend to swing the topic in your direction when you talk to people, give the challenge a try. It might be refreshing. 😄

I noticed myself doing this, so now I just keep it to myself or comment just about what the post is about

@elysiansmama I think all of us have a self-centered streak somewhere 😂 I wonder if that's why women often hate each other so much
