@sims.krista, they still work for you, they cannot make you do anything. If it was wrong midwives wouldn't allow it. You're paying the doctor and hospital, if you want to do something do it. They may get mad but whatever. You can literally tell them to go screw themselves. They work for you. You don't work for them.

My midwife made sure I ate

I'm definitely gonna be eating fruits and veggies, a lot of people forget that you are paying the doctor to work for you, they can recommend things in a pushy way, but ultimately you are in charge. I guarantee the doctors are going to hate me by the time I leave the hospital because I am not about to be pushed around while going through one of the most painful experiences of my life. No one will ruin that day for me.

I made sure I ate

You can't eat because you poop during pushing... Plus you can eat because its the same of eating wen your at home and you all of a sudden go into labor... They say don't eat but it's your choice they can't kick you out. You don't want to sit there starving than wen your having contractions while hungry it's gone hurt even more

I told them I hadn't eaten that morning cuz I went in at 7am & she told me I cannot eat anything . & kept making sure I wasnt eating any of the snacks I brought in for after labor.

I 1 million times agree with this, especially for women that go to the hospital earlier in their labor how in the world could they be expected to go through hours and hours of pain if they are starving? If the woman is low-risk and want to eat let her eat!

I put light snacking in my birth plan as well. So I'll be packing some granola bars and fruit to snack on for more energy. ☺️
