@kzinkernagel0094, there was one point in time where women only had the option to natural birth, pain is really inevitable, but if that's what you're wanting to do you should, and really it will be a short period of pain compared to a lifetime of happiness
All these comments are scaring me. I'm having a homebirth so I'm having no pain meds
I wanted to go natural, but once the pain started I gave in to the epidrual. And with this baby I'm planning on getting the epidural again. Ultimately it's up to you!
I was all about going natural, but I was in so much pain, I couldn't breathe, crying uncontrollably, so I got it. No after affects. I was able to get up and walk 3 hours after giving birth, my baby was completely awake and alert. It's really your decision in the end.
I think you should do what's best for you in that moment. Everyone is different. Not everyone will have side effects.
Ive done both. With my first I had the epidural and without with my second. I found that without the epidural...as bad as the pain was....I had more control over my body and with the epidural I didn't. But everyone is different and it is ultimately up to you and what you are comfortable with.
