Yeah they wouldn't let you have water. If you're right about to get a blood draw you can have some water

@kambam, they failed to mention that to me! Had to do the 3 hour test for NOTHING. And the tech said you aren't supposed to like at all. Until you're done.

Thats weird. I never did the 3h tho..just 1h. Maybe thats the difference.

For my 1 hour I couldn't have any water. But for my 3 hour they gave me a small 8 oz bottle of water to drink.

@db413, I couldn't have water AT ALL. It alters your numbers.

@kambam, yeah, it sucked. And it's 100 mg of sugar instead of 50. I was extremely dizzy and nauseous and almost passed out and they STILL wouldn't allow any water.

So u dont have GD?? I didn't drink anything cuz I was scared to get a false positive

@db413, then you genuinely failed it. Had nothing to do with water.

@miriahlove, NOPE! :) thank you God. A different doctor looked at the wrong chart and tried to diagnose me with diabetes but my OB sent me the chart for my 3 hour and said he didn't know what he was talking about I passed. I failed the 1 hour with a 183 and she concluded it was because I was drinking water the whole time. I didn't know water would mess it up, they didn't tell me. But I needed something to drink I was super dizzy 😩

@infamousmama_ iv heard if Lots of docs falsely diagnosing people with GD! Thats good tho. Gi treat urself to some goodies ;)
