В ожидании первенца
About 13 weeks. I used sonoline starting at 15 weeks. It was hard to hear because of having an anterior placenta but worth it to ease my mind. I bought mine off of ebay

When I was pregnant with my son, I did a lot of research on dopplers and decided not to purchase one. It can be confusing to work a pocket Doppler. Which is why I think it's best to leave it up to the professionals. You may think you've found the heartbeat, and actually be hearing the wooshing sound that the placenta makes which almost mimics the heart beat. Once you hit 15-20 weeks and start feeling kicks, your mind will be at ease. Trust me.

@twinpeanut, I'm thinking of buying one when I get further along just so I can have peace of mind

@bm1996 it really helped my anxiety of feeling like she was/is ok. I really started feeling her well at 24weeks 6 days. After that, I have been ok to not use it bc i feel her all the time

I got a Doppler as a gift and out of sheer excitement, used it at 10 weeks and mistook the sound of the placenta for the baby's heart beat for a while. But, as I got further along (around 16 weeks and up) it was much easier to tell the difference between the placenta and the babies heart beat. I used it for peace of mind this whole pregnancy. Don't know where I would be without it those few times he decided to have "lazy" days and didn't move around as much.

@twinpeanut, until I can feel my baby i just want a peace of mind! I've been seeing a lot of posts about them & was just curious! When did you start feeling your baby?

@courtjackson, that's something I'm scared of. once I start feeling the baby when he/she doesn't move for a while I still wanna make sure my little peanut is ok in there

@bm1996 i felt her once at 15 weeks then about once a week until the end of week 24, after that she was MOMMY MOMMY MOMMY MOMMY all the time with kicks, punches, and rolls

@bm1996, I completely get it. Especially because this is my first, I knew I was probably going to have anxiety over everything. When you don't know what to expect, everything can be scary. I figured I can either go into labor and delivery every time he had a lazy day and I was worried or I could use the Doppler at home to check in and save myself the trip, lol.

I heard my son's at 9+6 weeks.

I heard mine at 12weeks and wish I had one with my 1st pregnancy. Definitely lessen the stress of wondering if fetus is ok.
