Question: my 20 month old use to do really good at bed time. I'd tell her "ok let's go get in the bed" and she'd go straight to her room and lay down in her crib. But for the last week when I mention bed or night night she runs from me. Once I catch her and put her in her bed she screams at the top of her lungs for like 30 mins. The only thing that keeps her quiet is me singing or reading books back to back. And I have to stay in the room now or she cries. Has anyone experienced this? And how do I get my once good sleeper back?
@nicolem10021, that's a great idea I might have to introduce a wind down routine to see if it helps.
I know my son always wants to be where the fun was or around people when he was younger and "missing out on the fun" so he thought was a big part of it. So I kept the house quiet when she was trying to sleep and have calming things to do before he went to bed to also let him know that it's wind down time and sleep time soon
Mine is 8 years old and is still off and on doing well in bed. I'd say just let her scream it out and don't feed into it
If it were me I'd just keep persist. Have the same routine at the same time every night. If she freaks out and cries she freaks out and cries. Eventually she will realize your not going to cave and when mommy says it's bedtime she means it. She will eventually stop and just go to sleep. As kids get older they become more aware. It may simply be because she thinks she's missing out on fun when she goes to bed and everyone else is up.
I can't take it anymore! Haley (yes my 1mth old and no I wasn't able to go through this "joy" of nursing my older daughter, Molly) has been screaming non stop for 6hrs! All she wants to do is eat and I can't have her attached to me all day, everyday! She has wanted to eat every hr on the hr for the past 3hrs! I put her in her room so I don't scream at her but I just can't take it!

Well I was about to go to bed...and then I get stung by this thing.
Need parenting tips. So my daughter will be 1 on the 20th and she still wants her bottles warm how do I get her to take a bottle that’s not warmed because once she is 1 she will be drinking soy milk. Also for 10 months she was sleeping in her crib all throughout the night and now the last month since she got sick last month she absolutely refuses to sleep in her crib and will only sleep in my bed 😖 how do I go about getting her to sleep back in her crib? Her crib is currently in my room should I...
How often
Does your kid climb into your bed? My toddler use to sleep in her room all night and now she seriously runs into our room like 4 times a night. I feel like she wakes up and her first thought is let's climb into their bed! I have to wait for her to fall back asleep then carry her back into bed. Sometimes I just give up but she's getting big and I don't sleep well being pregnant and having a toddler kicking me.
@mommiesaremagical14, yes I'm going to have to do better at not letting her crying sicker me back in. And she become more aware and interact great so she probably does feel like she's missing out. Especially with it being summer and my 10 year old staying up longer now
