How do you mamas feel about vaccines? I see so my pro and anti vaccination stuff, and I'm so stuck.. I did with my son but he's almost 11 and I was 18... I wanna hear other mamas opinions and experiences ... also doing my research bc idk where I stand at the point..
Please vaccinate. Places where it's not mandatory are having all kinds of Measle outbreaks right now and it's going to catch up to us eventually. I heard northern states were already having some.
I'm a fan of actual science. Vaccines are proven effective by scientific studies. I would rather protect my kids from preventable diseases and help the herd immunity for any kids who are medically unable to be vaxxed.
Both my older kids are fully vaxxed and this baby will be as well. I'm considering spreading them out more with this baby tho so he doesn't get so many at once but I don't think it's necessary really.
I don't have a problem with vaccines aside from many of them possessing some pretty crazy preservatives. At the same time I know that it can be difficult to be included in society without them bc many schools and programs are afraid of outbreaks.
So overall I will be vaccinating my children, but I have declined all shots that have been recommended to me while I've been pregnant. If you look up TDAP maternal immune response you will find research on the possible long-term effects of immunizing one's self while carrying a child. And also many critiques analyzing the CDCs information about the vaccine on their site.
I refuse to get an unnecessary vaccine or flu shot while the baby is solely relying on my body and risk that my body's immune system could in any way negativity effect or target her. That's just my stance and I do not judge people that do or do not choose to vaccinate! 😌
So far my 10m old is up to date on all his shots, BUT his 12m shots, the MMR one will be delayed, and seperated. The shot is 3 vaccines in one, and a lot for a youngster to handle in my opinion. So he'll get them separatly over a few months.
