My breast are heavy and full with milk but when I squeeze nothing comes out and when I try to pump nothing is pumped into the breast pump its like I have milk but its stuck and wont come out...any tips or help on this.. i really would like to breastfeed my daughter....
Breast pump covered by insurance I've already done what I needed to find out what type of pump I get covered through insurance. It turns out, with my insurance, I can't even get my pump shipped to me until I call them with all the birth details of my baby. So...wth am I supposed to do having a baby and no pump?! I plan to pump exclusively and this REALLY throws a wrench in my plans.
Breastfeeding moms: so I am planning on going on a 3 day vacation with my hubby & a bunch of friends to Catalina in May, (my baby won't be going with us) and I do not wanna be pumping and dumping every 2 hours out there.. so if I don't pump or breastfeed for 3-4 days, will my milk supply drop significantly? 😩😩 & I don't know how I'm gonna deal with the engorgement pain if I can't find time to pump out there.

That's just colostrum. Which is more than enough for baby. Looks like you're producing a lot so your real milk might come in pretty fast.
It took my milk two days to come in.
I also use an electric pump & I hand express when I use it, helps pull out more milk

I personally hand express; it draws more milk out. Manual breastpumps works a little better than the electric

Thats still just colostrum hun. Perfect amount for baby right now, until real milk comes in. 😊 Im part of a great breastfeeding group on facebook called Breastfeeding and the Struggles we Overcome. Ive learned a lot, and you can always turn to them for great informative answers. They have tons of experienced breastfeeding mom and lactation consultants 😊 Highly recommend the group.
