Maybe a punishment? Like no friends over until its cleaned or he cant go anywhere besides school and home until its clean. No movies no park no nothing.

If has nothing to clean then I'm sure boredom would kick in quick. I mean nothing like a bed, sheet and 4 white walls.

@drewandvaehsmommy I have tried the no tv thing and it didn't seem to work on him, he would just sit there doing nothing before he cleaned his room !! I don't know what else to do he is waiting on me to clean it like I always do but I am getting tired of doing he needs to learn that he is old enough to do it his self!!

No tv until his room is clean. Not throwing stuff under the bed or in the closet but everything put away where and how you asked. No video games either. Do a room inspection when he says hes done and if its not how you want it still no tv or games and he has to re clean it all

Take everything away and make him earn it back. I taught my nephews that way
