@jessica.deshields, I'm sorry. I'm sure it's hard. No lip or tongue tie either? Maybe speak with an LC to see what else could be causing the pain?

@jae, yea there's no thrush. It has literally crushed my heart thinking about not feeding her. She's my last baby and I want so badly to just breast and no formula.

@jae ohhhhh I get what you're saying. Some moms are lazy and i agree thats sad. But I feel for the ones who can't physical breast feed or dont have the time in some cases.

@medeles98, sure fed is best but again, I'm not talking about the moms who say from jump "I don't want to do it". I mean the ones who will say they want to or wanted to so bad and then after a week or sometimes a few days they give up and go to formula.

@jessica.deshields, have you and baby been checked for thrush? I don't formula shame and I'm aware that some people can't for all kinds of reasons but that's not who I was referring to.

@skysmommy04, I don't think 5 months would be classified as "so quick" which is what I referred to in my post. I'm aware that it isn't for everyone but I meant the moms who "try" for a week and give excuses for why they can't.

I am sad that I'm not able to fully feed this go round. I literally have sharp pains in my nipples when she eats. She's latched correctly I have no drying or cracks I just can't simple bear the pain every feeding so I have had to give formula as well.

Everyone has their preference though 🤷🏽‍♀️ I'm gonna try breastfeeding and pumping but if it's not for me then I'm not gonna do it. Fed is best is all i know.

It's not for everyone some have to much pain some babies won't latch my sister and I never did and my daughter refused the boob after 5 months
