I don't know why people make it a big deal about them not wanting there mother in the delivery room she's seen your body parts since day 1 and raised your ass I understand if y'all don't get along at all but dam it would be fucked up if my mother wanted to be there and I said NO... I'm having my bf, my mother in law and of course my mother in the delivery room this will be my mothers 2nd time seeing me give birth 🙂
Yeah it kind of depends on how private of a person you are... I'm not even telling my family when I go into labor because I don't want anyone there except my fiance. It has nothing to do with seeing my body lol
I love my momma to and I wanted her and my mother in law in there but then I decided for it just to b us. That way she is not stressing about who is going to watch my little brother and sister who are both have autism. Can't have one on mom in there and not the other. But then again I might get there in the morning and change my mind.
I love my mom, but she gets way too emotional and freaks out about everything... when I had my first she was not allowed in the room, because she kept freaking out, and it made my BP spike! While I was in delivery she basically told my whole family that the baby was fine, but I was not going to make it! 🙄🤦♀️ see... overly dramatic... yes, it was an emergency situation... but I was medicated, and at no point were my doctors concerned for my life... had the meds not worked, there would have been some concern, but they did their job and all was fine! This time, she will be at my house watching my toddler while my husband and I deliver... I will be having a late friend's mother in the delivery room, she was never able to have children of her own, adopted 1 child, and he passed a couple years ago, and she's never had the opportunity to witness a birth... so my husband and I have invited her to be there with us... she is beyond grateful for the opportunity to be there! I feel comfortable with her and know she won't get overly dramatic!
@miriahlove exactly! My mom passed in March and it's horrible not having her here with me.
Sad my mom passed 4 years ago and I WISSSHHHHH I COUPD HAVE HER THERE!!!! People never know what they have till its gone I guess
My momma and MIL in one room gonna cause hell so this time being a different hospital far from home it just going to be my hubby and I while my MIL have our son and my mom may come down idk. My mom was in the room with my first and omg it was hell in some way because my hubby was so overprotective and she thought he was being a bitch smh 🙄
I agree!! My mother and I have never seen eye to eye but her watching me give birth to her grand babies creates a bond like no other!! Couldn't imagine giving birth without her! And always the childs father's mom, even if we don't get along. She deserves to see her grandbaby born just like my mom.
I personally don't because I don't really have as close of a bond with my mom like most people do. I don't mind her visiting, but I just want myself and my husband in the room when it's time.
There's nobody like your mommy and when you are sick or going through something like that, your mom is who most women want right there with them no matter how old you get.
It's a personal preference. This first time I only wanted my daughters father. This time I don't want anyone.
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...

Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...
Science!
My friend posted this on facebook last night and said her kids were asleep within minutes. It's a song that scientists created to help people fall asleep. I was skeptical but I thought what the hay, I'll try it out. I didn't bank on Dh falling asleep, but both him and lo were asleep by minute 2. And lo slept six straight hours. ?
I hate my mother. She wants to be there but I told her no and she gets zero rights to see my child.
