I've highly been considering adoption. To those who have considered it or gone through with it, how did you tell your SO and family?
Your very welcome hunnie.. I don't blame you at all..
@dinamarie2604, thank you so much! And my career is very dangerous and involves lots of travel and so does my fiancé. Plus IF I decide on adoption he would go to a family member who has always wanted kids but wasn't able to.
You definitely have my support 🤗🤗
Idk anyone who ever considered adoption but I think it's a great thing to do. There's a lot of ppl that just have kids just to have kids. Not a lot of ppl are able to raise a child due to maybe there career, household situation & more. It's all about what you think is the right choice to make. Don't let anyone try to change your mind on your decision. Follow your heart 🤗🤗
My mom was 16 when she first got pregnant and felt she had no choice but to give her daughter up for adoption. She had no support from family at all. Years later (after my mom was a older and in a relationship with 3 kids) her daughter came looking for her. Since then she's visited maybe twice and doesn't contact much at all. My mom hates that she had to give her up because now she doesn't have that bond with her child like she does me and my two brothers that she raised. She now has a grandchild who she never gets to see either. It's something she can't go back and change but would if she could. My half sister (the one adopted) is very jealous of me, too since Mom raised me and not her so she has nothing to do with me. It was hard on my mom going all her life wondering what her daughter was doing and feeling guilty forever about it. That's her experience with adoption. So many things could happen it's scary to make such a tough decision. Maybe you should talk to you SO and see how he feels first. Maybe he wants to raise the child and feels differently. I think all fathers who want responsibility should be given the chance. My husband was ripped of his rights because he wasn't married to his ex and there's not a day that goes by he don't think of the little girl he could've raised. I know it's emotional either way but set up your plan and have plan A and plan B but don't make any decisions until you've had your baby in your arms and home with him for a couple days. I always said I wouldn't want kids either and I have 3 now! They are my world and I couldn't imagine not having them. It's hard work being a mom but it's the most rewarding feeling in the world. I hope it all works out for you either way. You'll be a good mommy so don't worry about that. It comes natural. But whatever you decide mommy's are here to support you. ❤️
@emileewells1153 good luck !!! Is he on really bad drug or is it just weed?
@miriahlove, they won't give custody to a drug addict, that's how my mom lost me. Plus we both said we weren't ready for kids. I'm obviously going to talk to him about it. That was the point of the status to begin with.
@emileewells1153 awh babe u still should give him a chance and they dont drug test him to have his son. U should still be fair its equally both yours. U should talk to a lawyer because he does have rights
@miriahlove, he would fail a drug test so his opinion is irrelevant. (But I'm still gonna talk to him about it) but he would get zero rights
@emileewells1153 good luck hun!! Id just ask him his opinion on adoption I wouldn't even aay my mind is set on it until I hear his opinion . because u will have to have him on board as well. If he doesn't wanna do it then see if he wants to him and just give up ur rights
@miriahlove, technically you cannot sign any legal papers until 48 hours after the baby's birth so she will still have time to change her mind if she decides to. But it's always best to have a plan in place in case that is the route she decides to go.
@miriahlove, I'm going to talk to him tonight. That's why I asked how other approached the subject. But he even said we aren't ready for a child on many occasions. And I don't want my emotions during birth to effect my decision. Like I said I was adopted and it killed my mom but it was the BEST thing to ever happen to me.
@emileewells1153 oh okay!!! Well I think the dad has to agree with is as well in order to adopt so maybe u should talk to him privately without ur family involved. What kind of career do u have. ? And u look really young too . I know everyone is diff but I can assure u ur feelings once u push ur baby out of u will become so diff and look that baby in his eyes. I'd say dont decide like sign any papers until birth . thats were the bond comes in strongly . again everyone is diff tho.
I know @melaniejoannap has also placed and she's probably there to answer any questions as well. We are all here for you girl. This decision is not an easy one ❤️
@miriahlove, I've felt this way for awhile and I never wanted kids. My career is hectic and dangerous. Plus he would go to family. I was adopted by family and it was the best thing to ever happen to me. I haven't brought it up yet because I thought maybe it was just cold feet or something but my feeling about it keeps getting stronger.
Yes! Please send me a message I would love to talk with you and give you some insight on the feelings of placing your child for adoption! I placed my first born 4 and a half years ago.
@emileewells1153 just wait till about 30 weeks. Because the if u can take Care of baby he is yours. And ur first son u can't get that back. Again sorry ur feeling that way , I know it must be hard. Have u talkes to ur boyfriend about it at all yet?
I know @justusthree has recently posted about adoption. Maybe private message her ☺
@1_pregnant_leo814, I've felt him move since I was 15 weeks and heard the heart beat and everything else. Still hasn't changed my mind. Plus he would go to a family member.
I thought about that in the beginning because everything was going wrong like I lost my job because of morning sickness the whole 1st trimester me and fiance was going through it and on top of that it felt like family was drifting away but as the grew and I felt her move and heard heart beat at the doctor it gave me life and changed my mind a whole lot. I guess it all depends on the situation. But hope all goes well.
Awh im sorry to hear that honey! Well u no what's best , just stay positive, I know many who thought they wanted to adopt until they gave birth to baby then they can't. So try not to make any vast decisions just yey

Opk help! This is considered a negative opk, right?

Question I heard on the radio
Is sex with a robot considered cheating? ???
I talked to my fiancé y'all, he's upset but agrees. We aren't making any sudden decisions but we are on the same page. Only time can tell.
