@rosebrandi626, oh that I can see why, when I'm work he says he doesn't smoke so I believe him. I just didn't know if they mean in general smoke a lot or if it just goes by the fact if they smoke with child around

My sisters ex boyfriend and father to one of her kids had lost split custody of their son because he smoked weed. But a lot of it had to do with the fact that he and his whole family smoked around him & let it affect the way they took care of him, so it was putting him at risk

People don't lose custody of their kids for weed. Just doesn't really happen. Unless they're selling a lot of it. My husband smokes every few hours too. But, it's his medicine. Instead of the 10 pills he supposed to take. He's responsible.

Yeppp they smoke small then later need more..... If you suppose to use the money for something you need they rather use it to smoke...thats what you call an addiction willing to not buy what you need for your smoke habit

@mberjuste5, yes that my ex and it's sad cause he never smoked so much when we first met. I'm not against weed but the amount that he does every few hours it's an issue and he needs to understand we have a baby now and he needs to grow up. And I'm happy u brought up sugar as an example cause that's true as well..

@amichelle2 if a person cant go without it for a few days then you addicted...and just like you can be addicted to sugar ....weed can become an issuse for some people not all but some.... Some people get moody when they dont smoke...i know someone personally that do

@dbarton041, oh no, he's does not he smokes it outside in the shed but is high most of time and his stuff and unfinished blunts are in a box in the tv stand.

Some people get addicted and some dont...depends on you....

@hannahbbtt yeah if its a lot they will say attempt to sell...even if you be like you were planning to smoke all of it.i believe you can to because if you cant go a week without smoking u need help. I know someone personally that needs to smoke when he dont hes mean and rudely very moody. One min he say he will stop smoking for a while then the next few hours he trying to get some

@amichelle2, okay but someone who is a heavy smoker, has to have it and changes moods when they don't, yes he's addicted. And if u don't agree that's ur opinion. I believe it is. Anyways all I'm wanting to know if it causes loss of visitation or anything.

Did they use it around the child? If yes, then it's very likely. My brother has full custody of his daughter. The mom was addicted to adderall and smoked weed while the baby was in the womb and when she was a newborn. She would smoke joints while holding her baby in her arms.

@hannahbbtt, I know dcyf got involved with my BIL cause his wife had it in her system when she was pregnant and it was ok the babies when he was born she had to go to classes and stay clean for a year they finally just got dcyf off there case he's almost 2 I think it might depend
