@isley93, thank you so much mama ❤️ he called us yesterday and said he was able to move the day to Saturday when we are gone. I think he realized he wouldn't win and got it changed. Irritating that he didn't care about putting our health at risk. Im pretty sure he overheard me saying I would take legal action as well. So glad to have it all done and taken care of 😊

@isley93, I totally agree! I feel like a lot of people don't take it seriously. My dad died from lung cancer, and my grandfather died of mesothelioma cancer, so I take it incredibly seriously. And I'm very protective of my daughter.

Yes if he keeps pushing to install it then let him know you will be taking legal action. I used to dispatch for a small town in VA and we sent out a unit to a home where asbestos was exposed. There was a 4 and 12 year old in a two story home. The parents had come back from date night and noticed the 12 year old had sweats and was panting for air so we sent a unit to their home and rushed him to the ER. His lungs were very weak and by the morning doctors found mesothelioma which lead to cancer. As for the 4 year old they ran tests and luckily was able to treat the baby but the 12 year old was diagnosed with cancer. Alot of parents don't know much about asbestos and don't think it's a big deal but it could be your child and is very scary!

Please please do not let your baby be exposed to this awful disease! Take your landlord to court if he keeps forcing to install and if he shows up the day he was going to install it you have every EVERY right to contact the police!

@isley93, that's what I was thinking! We already paid him rent for the remainder of time we are staying here, so he won't suffer a loss, and he still has our deposit. That's why I was thinking about taking legal action 🤔

No no nooooo!!!! Your landlord is an idiot! He needs to work around your schedule. If children are exposed to asbestos it can be dangerous and can even lead to death. Tell him your not doing it and he should know that. If he refuses you also have EVERY right to withhold your rent money.
