Is it true that alcohol stays in your bedroom for 24 hours? My lactation specialist nurse told me that if I wanted to drink that I would have to pump a full day's worth of milk first then I could drink and then I would have to wait another full day before I'd be able to feed my daughter from my breasts because the alcohol would still be in my breast milk for 24 hours after my drinking.

If you can drive, you can feed. That's the rule to drinking while breastfeeding.

I can't believe anyone trained in lactation would tell you that. You can enjoy a couple drinks and feed your baby safely.

If u have any doubts u can buy those test strips and test ur milk but yea definitely 24 hours is way overly exaggerated

The lady was at least in her 60s by the way she looked. And all she did was show me books on how to latch and tell me not to drink or stress because if I stress to much I'll lose my breast milk for ever.
