How is Olivia sleeping in her crib at night but not for naps? We put her in and she doesn't cry, just goes to sleep. But during the day for naps she sits there and cries and doesn't sleep at all. Anyone else had this experience? Not sure what to do. I feel terrible because she's missing out on sleep during the day

@andreamcrts4, thank you 😊 everyone says naps fall into place pretty closely after they learn to sleep at night, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed

@missliss, that's how my boys were too so I would pat them back to sleep and I even made a hand with a glove filled with rice to make them think I'm still touching them and it worked most days. Got to do what we got to do right. Good luck to you

@momofdeuce, @typicalwifegirl, thank you! I'll make her room darker

@noahs.mommy, Olivia will only nap in her car seat or on one of us. I'm always like noooo that's not how this works baby girl! Lol 😂

@andreamcrts4, she wakes up so easily. It's like she knows I'm putting her in her crib, even when she's sleeping 😫

My boys both did that so I would let them fall asleep in my bed and move them to crib or just take a nap with them😄

My son does that. Sleeps all night in his bed but won't take naps in his bed. Takes naps in his swing.

My youngest was that way for a while. I put up light blocking curtains in his room and just napped with him until he got used to it. It's an associative thing I think. "Dark means sleep time"

Is the room dark during the day ? Babies tend to have a hard time a nap time if the room isn't dark. They're brain processess it as its wake time

So my baby is 8 weeks old and is thriving with weight gain each doctors visit. So here is my question: around 4-5 hours at night for sleep she wakes up every night and sucks on her thumb. (She finally this week likes it to soothe her during nap times) her eyes are still closed and she moves around and sucks it. I wake her to feed her. My question is should I just let it go? And see if she is just soothing herself to sleep? I don't want her to stave by morning if she sleep a couple of more hours. What would you guys do?
