Moms,
We'd love to know which potty, potty training gear and potty books you own and what you think about it. Tell us why it was great, what the challenges were, why you'd totally register for it again, or why you wanted to return it. We want to hear it all so our moms can make informed decisions about what to buy for their kids!
Thank you!

@jennatess where did you order this from? How much?
We chose the Summer Infant My Size Potty for our daughter. She was 12 months old when she used it for #2 and 17 months old when she went #1. It looks like a real toilet & makes a flushing sound that she loves.
I purchased a Disney character potty. Something that my toddler like. To further encourage potty time. I also came up with a dance. I really didn't read any books! I just recall helping my sister with her 5 kids. And how making learning fun can encourage a child.
@maverickandjosiah060516, my son is same way but he'll be two in august.
My son will be 2 in September and has no interest besides he will say potty and he knows where it is and what it is
I also had the Summer Infant brand "My Size Potty". It's the only one that worked for my son, after several unsuccessful other more colorful & distracting options we tried at first. Now my son just uses the regular toilet & has been since about 6 months after being potty trained.
Exactly, that's how I feel about my son when we start. He likes to copy everything we do so I know he'll like it and feel like a big boy. Real toilets don't sing and light up so I don't want to confuse him to think that's what they do. I think it will teach him and prepare him for the real thing. Hope it goes well.
@familyfirstalways, I thought she would prefer it because it's more like the big potty and she always wants to mess with the big potty
@santistevanmommie I'm going to get that one. I think it makes more sense.
@santistevanmommie, Logan wasn't either the first and second day was hell for me he cried all day long. But after that he had it down couldn't believe it only took a week. I downloaded a app on his tablet where he could take the kids to the potty feed them etc showed him how to flush and wash his hands. It's called toilet training
@iviesha, caleigha still isn't too interested in potty training yet.
@santistevanmommie, I got that one as well and my son love it now took me less than a week to potty train him
We got a mommy's little helper potty off of amazon. I looooove it. It's not a standalone potty, it's got a seat that sets on top of your regular toilet and little steps attached so your little one can climb up. The steps are adjustable for differing toilet heights. It folds up slim and sets nicely next to the potty for its next needed use. I love it. I don't like potties that play music or do anything else because then they tend to think of it more as a toy.
We got a potty that looks like a real potty. It's from summer infant. It makes a flushing sound and has a spot to hold wipes. Caleigha adores it
My lo is older (3 yr old) I got him a stand up frog urinal! Best thing ever!!
We got Brie a 3 in 1 Minnie potty but she wanted to sit on the big girl toilet so we put the extender on and she loves it
I just got one of the cheapest one, but if potty training doesn't improve soon, I'm going to buy the one that is more like a real toilet

Moms,
We're compiling product reviews on all of the products we think mom needs/wants in her new mom life. We want to be the best source online for new moms to learn about products real moms (all of you) think are good, bad, and downright ugly.

Me and my fiancé brought Elmo potty from Walmart because Elmo was his favorite at the time and we both figured that would help him use it if it was something he liked and it made noise which was a bonus . We also had the Elmo set covers and things for the big potty 🚽 with dry erase markers and magnet letters for ayden to to use on the back of the toilet lid while he sat on the potty to encourage him to use it . And he did the first time he sat down . This worked way better than the Elmo potty for us .
