40+5 weeks today I have 7 days till my induction if baby doesn't come by then. It's my eldest birthday tomorrow so really don't want to have baby tomorrow I'd rather my children have their own special day.
For those that have been induced what's it like? I've heard it's more intense pain wise and a long drawn out process. I've never had to be induced as my other 2 children came on their own.
My son didnt even engage till i was in labour so dont worry. It could literally be any minute now! Get jumping up and down!
Thank you both. Yeah A lot of people I've spoken to have said that natural labour is a lot better. I'm hoping my 2nd stretch and sweep on Thursday will start things off as last week I hadn't started to dilate or started effacement yet xx
Ill be honest... with my first i had a pretty straight forward labour. With my second i was induced and it was horrendous! I was induced at 10am and nothing happened until 2am and bang! I was in full labour. 40 minutes later she was born. Natural labour is a lot easier
I was induced hun and it hurt a lot. But she was my first so I don't know if it would've been that horrible if I wasn't induced if that makes sense. But you've had 2 so I'm sure you will be fine. Good luck! X
My last day with no children!!
I'm being induced in the morning and can't wait to meet my girls and finally see what/who they look like! Now to try and enjoy my last day ready for tomorrow!!
My doctor said he would induce my labor at 38 weeks, if my baby girl still had growth issues and if the percentile dropped to 10 or less. Last thursday, it was 10 percentile, and he said if she didn't come on her own by 38 weeks, he would induce labor at that time. I'm 36 weeks 1 day today, he said my cervix was super thin, and 1cm dilated. Is there a possibility this can change... that my doctor will let her just come on her own? I don't want to be induced, i would much rather her come on her ...
Sorry, baby name post
I've decided I'm no longer asking for my husband's input and just making my own decision. ? We only have 2.5 weeks until he'll be here and he needs a name.
It's my turn ladies!
Finally, after nearly FORTY-TWO weeks... I decided to get induced. Baby Violet scared me with some decreased fetal movement and I couldn't wait any longer.
Rave!!!
So I was taking my 3 hour nap today, and I woke up to the baby flutters. That made my day and I have no school tomorrow!!!!! Thank you baby for making your mommy happy!!! Ugh I had a bad day but feeling the flutters was the highlight of my day (:
I'm not worried. Both of my sons didn't engage till labour either it's not uncommon.
With my 1st I started dilating and effacing at 38 weeks but
With my 2nd I didn't start dilating or effacing till I was in labour so I know things can change quickly I was just hoping things were progressing as was having irregular contractions at the hospital at 37/38 weeks when I was in for movements xx
