Some doctors do it to just check on how the baby is growing. Not every woman gets it, but it's nothing to be worried about. :)

Just to make sure baby is growing fine your fundal measurements were probably measuring ahead or behind nothing to be concerned about I have had two and I'll have another in a month one was because my fundal measurements were measuring 3 weeks ahead and the other two are to make sure my placenta isn't getting affected by my icp

I'm going to ask for one at my next appointment because i got a 4d and they said my son was already 3pound and 13 oz at 30 weeks and 1day and his head was measuring 33weeks and 4days

And depending on when they schedule it for you can ask them to check and see if baby has hair they were able to see it in my last one
