Was it hard to move out with your kids and to be able to afford the cost of an apartment/ house with other expenses? If so how did you do it, I want to be able to move out with my kids, but do not nearly make enough to pay for another place without a roommate and no one wants to live with kids that I do know. DX

I suggest you move out when you can afford to when you rush it u set your self up to move back . stay down and stack your money your time is coming

Hmm I didn't move out, I made him move out. I waited until I knew I could financially make it on my own, never got any joint checking/savings accounts with him, only rented rather than owned, and made sure life was going to be good for my daughter and I first. I didn't have anything in savings, but I kept climbing ranks and changing jobs/positions within my profession to keep my salary moving toward independences. All in all, it took me about 3 years.

Idk where you live, but I would try and sign up for affordable living units. It may take a while for your name to come up, but I've lived in one for 17 years because my mom was a single parent and it's amazing!!!!
