Has anyone had lemsip? I have just woke up with the mother of all coughs and everything's saying I can't use it! Surely…

@kimxo I have lemsip cold and flu hot drinks when I have headaches cos I can't take tablets at all midwife says there completely fine xx

I was ill and I. Hospital with a chest infection with my daughter but the weeks leading up to that I used cough medicine ? The pharmacist gave me it , I would go see one at your local chemist xx

My Gran suggested honey and lemon I think I might try that, I don't even want to leave the house today I have my daughter feeling sorry for me too lol x

I was always told I couldn't have any kind of cough/ cold medicine. Paracetamol is the only thing. Which I can't see helping a cough. Otherwise honey & lemon will help a sore throat.

I'm sure 1 dose won't do too much harm. It sometimes has decongestants, they are most harmful in the first trimester - you are past that, and codein is given in labour wards together with paracetamol, so can't be a big no no either. Can't remember what else lemsip might have in it...

Depends whats in it, there are different ones. If it is only paracetamol, then I think you can. Check the dose though, maybe you can only take half a sachet?
