I get the Mirena tomorrow and I'm kind of nervous hoping I don't get any serious side effects from it.😬
@renelei, actually the cramping can last a while on and off I still get it. Still taking Motrin once or twice a day
@renelei, it hurt a little sting on your cervix but it was quick and easy I feel good about it. Cramped afterwards took Motrin immediately and I'm fine now🙂
I got one put in too but it wasn't painful for me. So you never know!
@morganmommy79, yes same here the only thing I forgot to ask about about me exercise are there any risk with that I don't know I work out often recently and I don't know if that could cause a problem but hopefully not I doubt it would but i need to clarify that when I go in tomorrow
I just talked to my dr about this yesterday. I'm thinking of getting the 3 year. I've never had one. I asked tons of questions tho. He said he feels it's best for me due to not wanting to gain weight. He said he puts them in 16 year olds often and out of every one he's ever done only one got pregnant on it and there were no complaints of pain other than typical mild cramping afterwards. He said I wouldn't have any periods while on it either. His wife has been on it for 15 years and still no period. I asked if some do bleed and he said none of his patients has ever complained of bleeding. He also said its way easier to insert while on my period since the uterus will be swollen. I LOVE my obgyn. I trust him completely. But please let me know how it goes and what you think.
My doctor tried to distract me though so hopefully yours does the same, I just breathed and moved my toes until she was done. I wish you the best :) it shouldn't be too bad and as I said it's over pretty quickly :)
@renelei, ugh that's why I'm nervous brings me back to those checks from being pregnant they were so painful when I was having my daughter I hated it.
Not going to lie it was pretty painful...it's my second time getting it put in(had it after my first son) it's pretty fast though and only had slight cramping for like 30 mins afterwards.
@kimberlyyyy_the-preemie-mom, aww man thanks for the heads up. I will definitely ask
Double check before you go in tomorrow, but I think you're allowed to take something for the pain before you get it done. Don't quote me and don't do it before you ask your doctor- I just hear it's painful. I was knocked out when they put mine in because I had a d&c right before it was inserted so I don't know how it's supposed to feel.

Well I was about to go to bed...and then I get stung by this thing.

I swear it gets bigger everyday, but I'll be 39 weeks Friday ❤
I cut the cable
I decided to get rid of cable ?. I'm hoping I don't regret it! I'm on a big saving splurge now that I have a lo. Anyone else get rid of cable? How's it going?

Me and my princess first time getting epidural and I’m numb from legs is this normal i can’t walk good yet
@desi720, yeah I'm still getting slight cramping too and some twinges.. 😣
