My son did want to use the potty either, he's 6 now but I had tried everything to potty train him, snacks if he goes a sticker chart just making him wears underwear. Nothing, finally one day he came up to me and said he wanted underwear I told him that means you have to use the potty, he said ok. He had one accident nothing in two years

@arielamore85 yes, keep us updated. Don't get discourage if it doesn't work right away. Try it for half month. Some people give up to easy and not give it time to really work("

@mrs.c yeah he ripped a poop diaper off one day and just dropped it on the floor. 🤤 I am going to keep on him about it and hopefully soon we can ditch the pull ups

@arielamore85 so was i! My hubby was getting ready for work that day and said "we're out of pull ups" I looked at him like and? Lol that's when I told him what we're going to do every time our son goes in his boxes(for not trying to use the potty)

So I explained to our son. Every time you pee or poop, you will stand by the door scream or crying, it's up to you. How I explained it is if you want to be nasty and messy that's fine, but you will not get it on the clean floor. Lol (bad mom here) but it worked.

@arielamore85 if you need to extend the time go for it. Because he is a little other than my son was. But not too long because you don't want him to get a rash or infection from the poop going to his penis. We know it gets everywhere

The way we teach our boy, is there are things you don't want to do but you have to do it or get it done.

lol yes@momofdeuce I put him in undies and he pooped and sat in it 😕😂 I am going to attempt giving him the 5 minutes standing in it and see if that works...if he still doesn't care then he will just have to change his own diapers 😂

Some people will say it will cause life problems(mental ones) our oldest if fine. He's never had an accident at night. The only time is when someone is in the restroom and he barely makes it. But other than that nothing

Aha I was gonna give the advice of having him sit in for a while @mrs.c but didn't want to be labeled a "bad mom" but I think she said her son didn't Care smh lol

Our oldest was the same way by a year and a half he knew what to do, but just didn't want to. We tried everything from rewards, stickers, sitting, reading. Well he would say "I don't want a toy right now, so no potty"

So I told him(just turned 3) if you pee or poop in your boxers then I'm going to make you stand by the door in your poop or pee boxers. He did pee once, made him stand by the door in his peed boxers(5 minutes). Right after he showered and was clean, he told me I need to pee and from that day on he was using his potty.

I just did not what my son to be 3 in training pants Or to keep buying them. If he knew how to just didn't want to.

@momofdeuce yeah, we have clifford stickers for sitting and reward bucks if he goes which go towards different things but he still doesn't seem to want to use it. :/

Have u tried the reward chart? Like for just sitting on the potty they get a sticker.. For peeing in the potty they get a small reward... & for pooing in the potty he gets something better ?
