Babygirls umbilical cord fell off a few days ago but ever since it's been scabbing over and then the scab rubs off and it bleeds. Is this normal? Idk how to make it better I don't want her to hurt 😣 I clean it with warm water every day just like the people at the hospital said to but it still bleeds all over her diaper 😔😔 it doesn't look infected though

It's normal. It's basically an open wound until it heals all the way. You want to keep things from rubbing up against it and knocking the scab off. Especially the diapers.

@jae how do I keep the diaper from rubbing against It? I fold it down but somehow it always unrolls itself

What size diapers is baby in and what kind are you using? I can't remember which but I know one brand has the umbilical cord part cut out.

I folded the top of the diaper down to keep it from rubbing my daughters belly button.
