We relocated for my husband's job almost 4 years ago from NJ to SC and I'm having a hard time finding friends that have the same values and parenting as myself. Is any other moms OCD and like a clean house and make their children learn to take care of their things and value what they have?? I find that many parents here don't have rules and let their kids make the rules. I'm getting frustrated because people irritate me. No one pays attention to their kids anymore. Maybe I'm just an old soul and have to look the other way. My kids are my everything and I'll be damned if another kid is going to bully my kid on the playground. I teach my kids to respect others and I feel other parents should do that as well. Am I wrong???

@muddcat3277, oh ok. We moved from Lakewood. I grew up in Long Branch.😊
Your not wrong. Times have changed parents try to be their kids friend verse being there parents!
@custom_cutie we moved from south Jersey, 5 min outside Philadelphia
@muddcat3277, I completely understand. My family and I moved for the same reason and I have yet to find friends 🙄. I'm almost thinking about going back to NJ for my sanity 🤦🏽♀️what part of NJ did you move from?
@muddcat3277, yeah, I have a nine year old son and while most of his friends are sweet kids, there's a couple I really don't care for him hanging out with simply bc of the way their parents allow them to behave, and what they are aloud to get away with.. it's frustrating bc my husband and I work so hard to get our son to mind and behave like a kind, respectful young man.. but then he spends time with these friends and it kinda undoes some of our efforts
@artsykirst at least someone does. I had my daughters first birthday on Saturday and all the kids that I babysit came and I was feeding their kids and watching them. I just don't know what else to do.
👍🏻I completely understand how you feel!
