HELP!! My son is 14 months old as of july first. Hes been breastfed since birth. Exclusively until he was able to have actual food. Im weaning him at the moment. I wanted to have him weaned by 18 months. I have severe anxiety and havent been able to take medication for it since i got pregnant with him. My anxiety is getting worse and im having more panic attacks. Now i want to have him weaned by the end of next month so i can take the proper medication to help me with the anxiety. He has no allergy to milk at all. But he will NOT drink it, he'll take a drink then open his mouth and just spit it out. Ive tried giving it to him cold out of the fridge and ive tried warming it up. Id like him to drink milk to get some extra nutrition. Ive heard of hemp milk, almond milk anf cashew milk. Has any other momma had this happen? Did you have to use a different type of milk other than cows mil? And if you were able to get your LO to drink it... how!!?? Any advice helps. Thank you all so much in advance.
Try pumping/expressing some of your milk into his cup and mix cows milk with it. Like do 3/4 breast milk with 1/4 cows milk. He'll probably take it more easily. If he does, you can start mixing more cows milk and less breast milk until it's all cows milk.
