I would go in though because my water broke at home and I had less then six hours you never know how fast you will labor after your water breaks! And invetween his heart rate kept dropping don't wait too long I would shower get everything ready and still go in. If your water is leaking you need to be seen

@tiffanyf dont go in right away. Wait it out a little. Have a light snack, a shower, and try to rest a little then see what's going on. Still leaking after that, then call.

Yes definitely your water my water broke while I was laying in bed @tiffanyf and sometimes you can leak slowly

@mommy.to.sterling well yeah if you're having contractions already and in active labor and your water is broken....yeah go in. But if your water breaks and you havent even started contractions and you go in, they will automatically admit you and try to start pit a lot of the times

@mommy.to.sterling yeah they want that money! Majority of hospitals give moms about 12hrs to progress before they start pushing induction drugs.

My water broke at 10pm. I went to sleep, woke up, ate breakfast and got to the hospital at 11am. They gave me another 15hrs and when i wasn't progressing i agreed to a cesarean.

@mommy.to.sterling @arivera64 my doctor told me to go in if my water broke as well! Id say call and tell them you are pretty sure your water broke.

Unless you have GBS or you're high risk, don't rush to the hospital! You will be put on a timer! Wait about 12hrs or until contractions start as long as baby is moving. Otherwise they're going to put you on pitocin etc.
