What do contractions feel like ? I'm almost 39 weeks and I haven't felt contractions or Braxton hicks

With my first I never felt BH. But with number two I definitely felt them. It's like radiating menstrual cramps
Having some pretty intense constant lower back pain and maybe super light contractions. But can't tell because the back pain is way over powering contractions so I'm walking around my room to see if they get worse.

Ladies BH do not cause pain! They are practice contractions ! If you are having pain while contracting they are true contractions and yes you can have spontaneous contractions that go away with rest and hydration but if they last longer than a half an hour it's always best to go get checked out !
What do contractions feel like?
Contractions are getting crazy strong! Anything over 80 is considered a "strong" contraction. The ones I'm having are hitting 160+ !
@kitkatsm13 so braxton hicks, for me anyway, mine were completely painless but uncomfortable as all hell. My belly would get rock hard and I'd get short of breath. I had a back labor so my contractions in the beginning felt like normal back pain, only i couldn't get it to go away. I would try sitting in different positions and it wouldn't stop. Then once my contractions got stronger the pain would be SO intense and it would come and go. Like contractions do. I have NO idea what normal labor feels like. But if you have a back labor its NOTHING like a normal labor and you wouldn't even know whata going on if it didn't click in your head. It didn't click with me and i didn't put the 2 together until i was in active labor and ready to go ti the hospital.
