How many weeks before baby due can you leave work and how early have people gone on maternity leave?

You can go from 29 weeks but can leave at 25 apparently if you have a pregnancy related illness, I left at 29 weeks x

I think you can pretty early, from 28 weeks or so. I left at 39 weeks :)

I was gonna stay on till as late as possible but now wanna leave earlier I'm 25 weeks now

I was on sick from 16 weeks due to a back problem, then went on maternity from 26 weeks xx

I'm really struggling with my knees and ankles can barely walk some days I was off ill this weekend with d&v and my work are being funny

I'd speak to your midwife and see if she will write a note or something so you can go off asap, I wouldn't know how to go about it as I went at 29 x

I'm happy to stick it out a bit longer but don't think I can work another 12 weeks

I left at 25 weeks used all my holiday the went on maternity. I left because I was in so much pain after finshing each shift I couldn't move when I got back. I also went back when he turned 6 months so had a good amount of time off ☺

That's what I'm thinking I do 3 12 hour shifts and a 6 hour a week most nights I'm crying cos my knees and ankles hurt so much I'm really struggling

I worked in a rock nightclub from 9pm-4am, so left at 28weeks as u couldn't hack it anymore and didn't feel safe around the drunk people and at night walking home 😂

Gonna ring my midwife tomorrow as I can't cope with the pains in my ankles and knees I have over 3 weeks annual leave at work 2 take but they being funny but I can't cope crying in bed in pain yet again
