@tremzini personally for the sake of a dead arm for a day or so and the chance of nothing serious happening to my baby in the first 8 weeks of their life id have it x

@natalie.louise89, some vaccine lol. They offer you it after 20weeks and you have to make an appointment for it with your gp/local midwife. It's basically because babies aren't protected from getting whooping cough before they're first vaccines at 2months so they give it to the pregnant mother. As with everything I swatted up and I'm making myself question getting it xx

@barnold, yeah I'll get it seems as though they've mentioned it this time unlike last time round. I just need to stop reading bad stories about it x

I didn't have it first time. I'm just so forgetful, I kept forgetting to book it. Almost happened 2nd time. Just about had it in time around 36/37 weeks lol

I got it done with my daughter, but not with my son. in all fairness my daughters been way more poorly than my son so far so i don't think it matters personally. i'm not getting it done this time either 👍🏻

Whooping cough can kill a young baby! I was so scared until Maya got all her injections done! 6 months of worry 😓 My midwife didnt tell me about it...will be getting it done next time round as soon as i can!! X

@dhovakiinx Whooping cough is different from just random illness.

@winterbaby95, isn't it only 2months? Then they get the whooping cough vaccine with their first vaccinations? My friends baby had the whooping cough vaccine and still caugh whooping cough and he's 12 now and perfectly fine x

@tremzini Theres 3 doses to the injections...so they arent fully protected until they've had all of their injections :) I know someones baby that died from it...she actually use to be on this site xx

@tremzini Because the doctors faffed around...Maya was late getting her two month ones...so didnt get the third dose of the injections until 6 months xx

@winterbaby95, after research and the risk of death being very rare I've decided I'm gonna do what I did with Jarrod and not get it done x
