I have a question. How long after breastfeeding did your period go back to normal. I still breastfeed and we offer bottles when he's left with someone else. My period hasn't returned yet but I'm anxious to start tracking it again since Hubby said we can talk about planning to have another baby soon after my son turns one. That's only 4 months from now and I plan on weaning him shortly after his birthday. I know you can still get pregnant while breastfeeding, but we aren't going to seriously try until Henry is off the breast and onto solid foods. We will still be using condoms until then.

PS. I had cramping on and off for 3 days and very light spotting about 2 weeks ago. But nothing since. Any idea what that could have been? I took an hpt about a week ago but it was negative. Any idea what that was?

I didn't get mine for well over a year but was BF the whole time. I got it days after weaning.

My period came back exactly one month after I stopped breastfeeding.

I had what you can call a period about 2 months pp but that was only because I stopped breastfeeding for a.momeny.

Probably was the start of your cycle. Mine came back at 6 months. I used to have 28 day cycles and now it's between 33 and 38 days. It'll take a while. Some get it back quicker than others. Sometimes you don't even get it til months after weaning.

Birth Plan Rant I used to be all about getting an epidural, but after research and thinking about it more I want to have an unmedicated birth (this is my first baby). What annoys me is when I say that I'm going to TRY my hardest to have a natural and unmedicated birth people always feel the need to say that I'm crazy or that I'm going to change my mind when I get in that position. Or that epidurals are the best. I do realize that plans change, but why can't people be supportive and encouraging?
