Got papers from hospital and apparently for my scheduled csection im not allowed to wear makeup. Seems weird to me - I know things change but wasn't sure of why they say that. Im ok going without it - Just curious. Im going to ask doc come monday - But do you any of you ladies know why....
I wore make up when I had my smallest and they didn't say anything . maybe its just the hospital
@dmgraham06 that makes sense. Thanks for your input too.
Just like any surgery, they don't want you to wear makeup. They need to be able to see the color of your skin. May be hard to tell if you are losing color if you are wearing foundation. At least that is what I have been told before my previous surgeries.
@3plus1supermom that makes sense. Thanks for your input.
They say it's a sanitary thing. Just because they put ur baby up by ur face after birth and they want to be sure ur sanitized. I was supposed to shower before mine but mine ended up being an emergency one so I didn't have time
Yeah i had my son by C-section like 7 & 1/2 years ago so much has changed with how they do things now from then till now.
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...

My husband is a surgical tech in the OR and none of the women he works with wear make up (maybe some do but they aren't supposed too) because they have to keep everything sterile and make up isn't sterile so they don't want to risk the site getting infected. :)
