So Sunday night I go in to get a pill up there to ripen my cervix and be induced Monday morning. What I don't understand is my doctor said she doesn't know if I'll get pitocin or not. I've never been through this before so could someone give me an idea of how this will go? I asked a lot of questions I just didn't get any answers.

@ashleydunn, they scheduled an induction 1 day before my due date in case she doesn't come before. My cervix is behind her head and isn't making progress. My dr doesn't like going past the due date. Plus my wife and I know when we conceived so the date isn't off or anything.
Probably more but I was trying to figure in the ultrasound they say is usually off by a few lbs

So she is probably around seven now ultrasound can be off by a little my son was seven even at birth I only pushed for 15 minutes
@mommysbabies, our ultrasound at 35 weeks she measured 6 pounds

@mommysbabies, I'm just nervous is all. I have hip issues and she is extremely against c-section without an emergent reason.

Are you getting cervidil because that is known to send people into labor which could be why she isn't sure if you will get pitocin my dr didn't need the pitocin because the cervidil worked so well i dont know if that answers any of your questions I needed pitocin I can try and answer what I can
I went into labor naturally but ended up with pitocin because I was making progress after 4cm and they had already broke my water. But as long as ur body makes progress on it's own u shouldn't need it
