@nita266, yeah I only had cramps one day a month for like the first year in a half. Then 6 months ago it slowly started to last two weeks. So I was like you gotta go. My midwife said it was in the correct place and wasn't stuck or anything so we don't know why the cramps were lasting so long.

I mean other than that it was great.

I had the paragard for almost two years. I had it taken out this past Friday, couldn't take the cramps I was having anymore.

Do you know the risks?

I was for 5ys (before I got pregnant) and there is nothing to be scared off. It's a little uncomfortable the first time when inserting but after you forget it easily lol
