You can drink and still breastfeed all you want. If you're sober enough to drive you can breastfeed. No need to pump and dump or anything

There's so many different ideas on drinking and breastfeeding. I read that it's ok to drink as long as you're not binge drinking and that as long as you aren't drunk/buzzed it's ok to breastfeed. There's also contradictory thoughts on pumping and dumping. Some say you need to, others say you don't have to. I would drink during the longest break. Maybe pumping a bottle or two to be safe, but ultimately you know best.

@karen309, I know online was giving me so many yes's and no's so I was contemplating. The fiancé wanted to take me for a drink too relax a little but I wasn't sure. I just don't want too make the wrong choice.

@achitwood81, I was nervous too the first time my boyfriend took me out. But once I loosened up, I appreciated the break

If you can drive you can breastfeed. Eat and then have a drink no need to pump and dump
