My boyfriends parents keep pressuring us to get married. I told them I just wana wait until we know we're completely ready for that. and they're like "ready?? You are you have a baby, that means you're ready" ... noo it doesnt. We wana get married eventually but feel like its too soon & they don't understand that just bc we have a baby.

@morenita well we didn't purposely get pregnant. I was told by doctors when I was younger that it would be a difficult in my future. So me getting pregnant was never even thought of. But it happend and we weren't ready in the beginning but we were by the time he got here. We want to get married but we see no rush in it. We'll do it wen we feel it's the right time

I have a question though? Ain't having a baby is having a big commitment also? I never understood not wanting to marry but wanting a baby, isn't it like the same? No judgement- I just always been curious out that?

This. My husband's aunt, among other family members were pressuring us to get married even before out daughter was born. She's one now and we just got married two weeks ago. It's because WE wanted to. Don't listen to them. They don't control your lives 😉☺

TTC #2 (or more) and married group-Join Us!

TTC #2 (or more) and married group-Join Us! I started a TTC group for women who are ttc #2 (or more!), and married. I didn't do it to specifically exclude others, but to allow women in similar situations to find each other. We can all still happily participate in the general forum, but I thought it would be nice to have like minded people to talk to about ttc and motherhood. If you would like to join let me know and I'll send you an invite!

Getting married because of baby

Getting married because of baby Is there anyone that feels you have to get married to your boyfriend now that you're pregnant? Or are your parents forcing you? Me and my boyfriend havent really spoken about it but I don't think that just because you're having a baby together you HAVE to be married. A baby can either make or break a relationship so I'd rather wait it out and see how everything plays out. What are your opinions? We already live together btw

So idk if I’m an asshole for thinking this but a girl I used to go to school with is having her 3rd kid and she’s planning a baby shower and she had one with her other two. I feel like a baby shower is something you do with ur first pregnancy. I live far from my family so I didn’t have one but i did have a baby registry and I’m not even doing that with this pregnancy. Idk I just feel like 3 baby showers is a lot! Especially when she gets things handed to her. Idk maybe I’m an ass for thinking that
