I believe i asked this before. I know you can be asleep during a vaginal delivery (just found this out) is it safe to be asleep during a c section ??!!!! I'm seriously freaking out...... mother of all panic attacks !!!
@exoticyuri other than seeing her in the OR, they didn't let me go to the NICU and see her til the numbing meds wore off and I could feel my legs again.
@klynnm, they don't at my hospital. I already asked. It's a rule.. only for vaginally deliveries
@exoticyuri btw they dp let you take your phone in, they have daddy hold it. They told my fiance to get the camera ready when they were about to take her out.
@exoticyuri Yeah, my fiance got to hold her while they were closing me up but since she was 5 weeks early her lungs werent quite ready so she had a cpap and feeding tube placed when they took her to the NICU. I didn't get to hold her for about 2 days when he cpap was removed.
@klynnm, oh wow! I'm not gonna be able to hold mine for a little after he's born... they told me....
@exoticyuri They keep you awake so they can make sure you're alright during the c-section. My water broke 5 weeks early and my baby girl was breech so we had to do a c-section, I was more scared about the shot cause I've heard people tell me it hurts more than anything else but when they did the spinal flush it was literally a tiny little pinch and then your lower half goes completely numb, all you feel is the pressure of what they're doing. I threw up a little bit but the anesthesiologist told me ahead of time that I might get sick and it was completely normal. She was out and I was stapled closed in about 10-15 minutes. My fiance was sitting next to my head the whole time talking to me and the nurses were talking about one of them getting married and whatnot. Then I heard crying and I could see her getting cleaned and checked next to me and got to watch my fiance cut the cord and then he held her by my head for a few minutes while they closed me up.
They're painless. I was freaking out because it wasn't in my plan and I was sure it was going to be one of those times where they say you aren't going to feel anything but you can a little like the dentist, but no. You literally cannot feel anything so much I was surprised they had the baby out so fast and I love that I was awake to hold my baby boy seconds after he was born
@exoticyuri well you ask them
@kiaraclark280, I want to be asleep .... maybe if I exhaust myself the night before I'll pass out
@exoticyuri, you won't need one. I was talking to my husband the whole time.
@exoticyuri, yea a c section
I was gonna have a normal birth but my baby's heart was dropping a lot so last min csection now that was terrifying cuz I didn't wanted one but girl trust me, like foreals foreals you'll be fine!
I don't regret the surgery.
I would do it again . Lol
lol 😂 girl you remind me of me , I swear a day before I was crying like crazy cuz I was just scared, I was praying asking God for me to not to have that much Pain,
The whole process was fine, the only part I was like scared was when I didn't feel my bottom part of my body n all that numbing caused me to have a panic attack lol but I guess now that's it's been a month I kind of forgot about it so I feel like it wasn't that bad. Girl I'm the most chicken person you'll ever know so If i got through it trust me you will too :)
Youre over thinking! Are you for sure having a C-section?
@exoticyuri , the room has to be sterile for you and baby. Phones carry germs and since you're gonna be open they don't want you catching an infection. The phone will be the last thing on your mind when the time comes.
@_sheriee, id like to see them try and take my phone ....
Lol, you're something else. Not during. But after yes. My C-section was Soo fast. It'll be over before you know it.
You'll be fine girl , you literally don't feel anything, maybe some movements here and there but it wasn't that bad.
I was freaking out when they told me I was getting a csection I cried like a baby but it wasn't that bad honestly.
LMAO! Men! Spinal kicked in for me I would say almost immediately. You can feel everything except pain so you won't actually feel the cutting. You will feel just pressure while they make the incision, when they took my daughter out I felt pressure then like something was taken out but it didnt hurt at all.
@_sheriee, I was just trying to google how long the spinal takes to kick in...... then it said you can feel everything....... but the pain... I don't wanna feel my belly getting sawed into.......
@_sheriee, can't they slap a black hole on my stomach and pull him out? Like in Rodger rabbit???!?? Omg I'm dying!!! Omg!!! My boyfriend was saying some stupid shit earlier like "what if they fuck up and scalp my baby!??!!" I get you're scared too but wtf!!??!! Why would you put that in my head???!!! Omg
And please do not Google 😥 it's known to induce anxiety!! Lol breaaaaathe
Yes you can do this. Stop working yourself up. A woman's body is an amazing thing.
Eeek, no I would never. I had an emergency C-section with my first and chose local anesthesia only so I was awake. I love that I am able to remember her birth.
@_sheriee, @momofdeuce, @proud_mamma2, okay so back to my dilemma... I'm habitan the mother of all anxiety attacks!!!!! I didn't think this through early in my pregnancy... and baby is getting big!!! I cannot do this!!!
@_sheriee, that's what I asked. Forceps or something. Babies got pulled out
@momofdeuce, I met 3 of my boyfriends relatives at my baby shower all with similar stories.. they were put under during labor and woke up with the baby next to them feeling sore. Forceps ..... my grandmother apparently had the same thing happen. I don't know if she was put to sleep or fainted....
I've never heard of being asleep during a vaginal delivery. How are you supposed to push if you're sleeping?
How can you sleep through a vaginal and during a csection your under anesthesia so yes you will be asleep
Sleep during vaginal delivery what??
Science!
My friend posted this on facebook last night and said her kids were asleep within minutes. It's a song that scientists created to help people fall asleep. I was skeptical but I thought what the hay, I'll try it out. I didn't bank on Dh falling asleep, but both him and lo were asleep by minute 2. And lo slept six straight hours. ?
(Thread Closed) Let’s go out with a bang
Let all the dramas unfold! I blame Jessica Alba
Baby girl falls asleep during feedings and nothing I do seems to wake up her to finish her whole bottle 😐
Did anyone else break out during there pregnancy? I have been breaking out horribly 😑🔫

@exoticyuri oh it must depend on the hospital then, We got to take mine in. I have a pic of right after they pulled her out, still all super bloody lol
